Concrete TreatmentsA variety of treatments can be applied to concrete to improve its composition or properties. The two main treatments are Penetrating Sealers and Chemical Densifiers and Hardeners. Penetrating Sealers
A penetrating sealer is a breathable sealer that penetrates into the concrete to protect it from staining and allows it to repel water. It can be
applied to old or new concrete and generally does not change the appearance of the concrete. It has popular applications in areas such as
driveways and commercial and industrial settings where it is a desired preventative allowing the flooring surface to stay more attractive for
longer periods.
Chemical Densifiers and Hardeners
Chemical densifiers and hardeners are a coating which when applied to concrete reacts with the topical surface to produce a much harder
wearing surface. The use of this treatment not only increases the ability of the concrete to take high traffic but due to it's nature improves
and continues to harden with age. It is a good option to improve problem areas where concrete dusting occurs.
